Buildings of public and social interest

THE IMPORTANCE OF A VIEW OR ACCESS TO GREEN AREAS IN THE RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION PROCESS OF PATIENTS IS NOW WIDELY DOCUMENTED.

In buildings of public and social interest, such as schools, hospitals, and care facilities for the elderly or people with disabilities, it is well known and proven that the presence of greenery, therapeutic gardens, and spaces designed with specific attention according to individual needs is beneficial. However, it is not always the case that these facilities have dedicated or usable green spaces. In such cases, green roofs can be useful, transforming otherwise unused spaces such as attics, roofs, and terraces into usable green areas, designed in detail according to the needs.

From green carpets to aromatic flowerbeds, to rooftop gardens where users or patients can engage in various recreational activities or simply relax and enjoy a small moment of respite. In the educational context, the garden can take on an educational value, such as a botanical garden or even a vegetable garden, providing students with a glimpse of rural activities that are now unfamiliar to most.

The green roof system will predominantly have a variable thickness to accommodate herbaceous, shrub, or tree plants, optimizing the thickness to the maximum.
