For the most part, the needs requiring such integrations are:

High substrate thicknesses

• Over 40 to 50 cm thick, the use of substrates is not recommended. When having to make increased thicknesses, compensation is made at the bottom with suitable aggregates. Stratigraphies may vary depending on the type of aggregate used.

Increased compressive strength of drainage panels

• Although our panels are very resistant to compression, we recommend “plugging” them with a special lapilli.

Reduced slab available loads

• Sometimes the available loads are reduced but it is necessary to achieve certain minimum thicknesses. In these cases a combination of our TerraMediterranea TML substrate and different elements is used depending on the specific needs.

Continuous drainage

• With the technique of continuous drainage you deal with different uses in a project, in addition to greenery, such as pedestrian or vehicular paths, wooden decking, concrete slabs for the support of plants. Since all these applications insist on drainage panels it becomes necessary to use substrate materials that are light, but at the same time ensure suitable mechanical and hydraulic performance.
