The new Ratti winery, located in the district of Annunziata in La Morra (CN), fits into an extensive hill system of very high landscape value, the Langhe.
The architectural design, in addition to having the objective of responding to specific functions typical of wineries, had to fit “respectfully” into the landscape and at the same time preserve the prestigious “image” of a winery expressing a well-known brand, Barolo wine.
The winery’s architecture is minimally visible, with most functions located underground. The office and tasting room levels emerge above ground, offering vineyard views.
The roofs are glulam and reflect the undulating pattern of the surrounding hills on which the sloping Harpo verdepensile system was installed.
Harpo technology facilitated the winery’s seamless integration into the landscape, creating an ecological balance with the surrounding hills.
